Taliban banned woman from universities in Afghanistan
On Tuesday, Taliban ordered a ban on higher education for women. Islamic rulers who are in power of the country, 17 months earlier banned most female Afghan teenagers from attending the secondary school and now they did that on universities as well. Sabra is a fourth-year medical student, living in Kabul, during her interview she said “I studied with all my heart for four years, I only had one year left to graduate from university.”
In my
opinion that is absolutely heartbreaking. Women who worked so hard, are now being
deprived of a chance for bright future. Right to education is a fundamental human
right and this is a violation of it and a crime against humanity. I think that
this decision is absolutely shameful and should be immediately reversed.
