Why is it so hard to admit we’ve been wrong?

Admitting that we’ve been wrong is so hard, because of our society. We are constantly being judged for everything we do and if we make a mistake, we are often being laughed at – and obviously nobody likes that feeling. That’s why admitting that we’ve been wrong scares us. That is a real problem, because if we don’t admit our mistake, we can’t learn on it. From our early childhood we were taught that making mistakes is wrong and we were often punished for that. All that leads us to thinking that it is better to pretend we’re right rather than admit that we’re wrong – and that is obviously not true.

  1. "That is a real problem, because if we don’t admit our mistake, we can’t learn on it." - this sentences is off-topic.
Also, your topic sentence could be more specific - "because of the society" sounds rather vague. Maybe "because the society teaches us that it's a shame to make a mistake"?
